We are a marketing focused, result oriented, social enterprise Local NGO which uses modern management techniques to provide quality sexual and reproductive healthcare (SRH) to poor, marginalized communities in Kenya.

We are a senior member of a global partnership which develops effective and sustainable family planning programmes in UK and overseas. We exist to improve quality of life and health through affordable family planning and reproductive healthcare services and products thus ensuring the individual's fundamental right to children by choice and not chance.

We have been supported by the European Commission to implement an HIV and AIDS related project

VCT NURSE (1 POSITION)

We are seeking dynamic, proactive and innovative qualified persons to fill one VCT Nurses position. The project is an HIV/AIDS prevention intervention that attempts to impact on HIV incidence, risk behaviour, stigma and discrimination in communities in the Eastleigh (Nairobi), Kisii, Nakuru, Eldoret, Kisumu, Muranga and Mombasa regions. The successful candidates will work with the outreach Voluntary surgical Contraception team. The position will be a five year contract.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide mobile VCT service

Key requirements
Enrollment as a Kenya Enrolled Community Health Nurse with the Kenya Nursing Council At least 2 years practical experience in providing VCT Services Relevant training on VCT training in PMTCT will be an added advantage Fluent in Local Language including Kiswahili and English Team player.

In addition
Commitment to working as part of a multi-disciplinary outreach team Ability to work to strict deadlines and flexible hours Ability to work with minimum supervision.

2. IEC/BCC COORDINATOR

Duties and responsibilities
Working closely with project Manager-EC, develop and implement, IEC/BCC strategy using a variety of media, message and materials development. In addition, working with centre managers, project and field staff and to develop client exit interviews and also to monitor and report on behaviour changes, co¬ordinate IEC/BCC activities.

Qualifications
A university degree in communications or behavioural sciences, plus three to five years working experience in the planning, design, implement and evaluation of BCC activities. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and cross cultural skills
